What is the overall purpose of this website? Honestly, it is my virtual resume. I have tried to include any and all work I have done or created and put it all in one easy-to-access place. And it’s actually been an absolute blast putting it together, so I hope it does the job!
Regarding PERSONAL ITEMS…
What type of education do you have? Well, I graduated Bishop Maginn High School in 2009, and while I bounced around a bit in college, I was able to successfully complete coursework at Hudson Valley Community College from 2011 to 2013 where I received my Associate of Art in Liberal Arts (which basically means I fulfilled all my General Education requirements for college). From there, I struggled a little bit again and bounced around for a number of semesters following my graduation from HVCC in May of 2013. I am currently (as of October 2017) a mere 40 credits shy of receiving my Bachelor’s degree in Journalism from the State University of New York at Albany. I plan to return either in the Spring or Fall semester of 2018.
What type of experience do you have? I feel like I have worked enough jobs and hours to be retired at this point, but alas, I am still very young and very inexperienced. I have 10+ years of experience babysitting/nannying for children of all ages. I have 5+ years of experience in photography, with cameras, Photoshop and Lightroom. I worked at the Tri-City ValleyCats in Troy, New York for seven summers from 2007 to 2014 selling tickets to baseball games in the box office. I have a couple of experiences working in offices: one when I was 15 working as an intern of sorts at the SUNY Research Foundation doing basic clerical work (shredding documents, filing other documents, answering the phone), and the other when I worked for four months for Senator Elaine Phillips of the 7th New York State Senate District answering phones, writing constituent letters and managing some in-house photography. Currently, and for the last six years I have been working at the local movie theater, Spectrum 8 Theatres, where I have been in a number of different positions throughout the years. In the past, I have done everything on the floor from concessions to selling tickets to being the usher. I previously spent 6 months as an assistant manager, and presently I hold the title of Snack Bar Coordinator, where I am responsible for nearly everything going on behind the concession counter aside from ordering stock. It is honestly a wonderful job and I wouldn’t trade it for anything in the world.
What kind of photography services do you offer? I offer all kinds! Here is a list of what I currently offer (however my skills are not only limited to the services on this list – just ask!):
- – head shots
- – engagement
- – portrait / senior
- – family
- – maternity
- – new mommy
- – newborn
- – pets / animals
- – weddings
- – events
How much do you charge for your services? It depends on what type of session or photography service you are looking for. We have a number of different sessions, as well as packages, that we offer ranging from $150 to $2200. Inquire within for more specific prices & what each price point includes.
Where are you located? I am based out of Albany, New York, but I am more than willing to travel all over. All I ask is that if you need me more than 50 miles away from Albany, I require a $1 per mile travel fee. If you need my services 2 hours away or more (and need me for more than 6 hours), you will be required to pay for hotel costs.
What sort of experience do you have? While I have no school or university training, I have practiced with a camera for as long as I can remember. I have even worked with professional photographers on several occasions (in a studio setting, at a wedding, etc.). I have been running CEM Photography since 2011, and while I work every day to be better at what I do, I am quite comfortable behind the camera and I consider myself very well-suited to helping you feel comfortable in front of the camera, too.
Why should I hire you to be my photographer? Honestly, I love photography. I have turned this hobby of mine into an absolute passion and a source of income. That having been said, I am not in it for the money. I am one of the most inexpensive photographers in the area, for one. While I don’t charge as much as the mavericks in the business, that is not to say that my photography lacks the artistic style or quality of my competition. I strive to bring you quality photographs at an affordable price. Who wouldn’t want that?
And, like I said, if you still have questions or comments, please reach out to me! I am more than willing to speak with you about any and all things!
